Ana María Ariza is an award-winning journalist and a photojournalist with a background in television and radio production. Ariza holds a communications minor from Miami Dade College, where she was nominated for Best Final Project, a journalism degree from NYU, and a professional photography certification from Zona Cinco in Bogotá, D.C.

Ana María focuses on documentary filmmaking, and has experience in multimedia storytelling, specializing in human rights and migration. She produced the acclaimed documentary Caminantes: Human Stories That Cross Borders, nominated at prestigious festivals like the Barcelona Human Rights Film Festival 2022, McMinnville Short Film Festival 2023, Madrid Film Awards (MADFA) 2023, LA Latinx Film Festival 2023, and winning at the Madrid International Film Festival 2023.

 

She is proficient in both on-camera and behind-the-scenes roles, with a proven history of partnering with international NGOs to elevate social issues and spark meaningful dialogue on a global scale. Her impactful work has fostered significant social change, and has been featured in international publications, global cinemas, and on networks like Paramount Pictures, MTV, Discovery Channel, and Directv.

Ariza has interviewed John Leguizamo, Benjamin Bratt, Giovanna Mezzogiorno, Catalina Sandino, Mike Newell, Scott Steindorff, Nicolas Cage, Tracy Morgan, Bill Nighy, Zach Galifianakis, Samuel Torres, Chris Botti, Leonardo Amuedo, and Eddy Herrera, among others.
